Our values
Our values underpin everything we do as professional trainers in the tourism industry.
Quality
Using the best professionals to deliver timely and appropriate training.
Learner-centred
Using technology blended with practical training to support outstanding learning experiences
Care
To look to the well-being of students at all times, with accessible learning materials and the dedicated support of a designated tutor.
Industry-aligned
To ensure our training matches the business need of the industry and that our students will succeed in the profession.
Training the Cadence Way
Using our values as a basis for our training methods means we provide a thorough and up-to-date learning experience for our students.
Each of our courses contains these four elements.
In-person teaching at various sites in the region
We use professionals and experts in the field who uphold our values and will provide the best training possible for our students. We believe in the students getting plenty of practical experience and feedback from the start – and encourage them to take ownership of their learning and learn in an active, rather than passive, manner. Practical training includes presentation and communication skills, as well as workshops that will enhance the students’ skill-set and business knowhow.

Our Learning Portal is available 24/7
Many people have experienced flat and uninspiring methods of teaching online. We are bringing things firmly up-to-date with the services of a Learning Designer well-versed in the digital learning industry and in techniques to engage students. Online lectures are recorded and accompanied with notes and tasks for the student to watch and work on in their own time. Tests on knowledge are also available on our online student portal and can be taken as many times as the student wishes.

Online live sessions via Zoom
Our online sessions take place on Zoom and are specifically for Q&A on a topic after the students have absorbed the lecture on that topic, live quizzes, and discussion. We hold panel discussions online where professionals in the industry and in the topic on hand will have a conversation and students can listen, contribute or ask questions. Think of our online panel discussions as an interactive podcast!

Support from your own personal tutor
Each student will have time with a designated tutor – in small groups and also regular one-to-one time. Our tutor system ensures the well-being of the students is always paramount; it enables us to monitor the students’ progress, offer feedback and suggestions and all the support they need. The one-to-ones are an opportunity for students to discuss practical tasks in depth, or privately raise any questions or issues with which they are struggling. We also have an overall Welfare Lead who is another point of contact.
