The following terms and conditions apply to all activities and events operated by Cadence Training (a company registered in England and Wales, reg. no. XXX). This document sets out the terms by which Cadence Training (‘Us’, ‘We’, or ‘Our’) provides a training course (‘training’, ‘training course’, or ‘course’) for the person or parties (‘you’, ‘the student’ or ‘students’) who are successfully accepted onto a course following application.
You acknowledge & agree that by accessing our website, and/or ticking the ‘I accept all terms and conditions’ box, you and any other training participant on whose behalf you are acting, will be bound by these terms and conditions as written.
General Information:
- We are not liable for any exchange rate fees or bank charges you incur as a result of making any payment to us.
 - It is your responsibility to ensure that the service you pay us for is the service you require. Refunds and exchanges will only be provided subject to the conditions below.
 - All cancellation/refund or exchange requests must be submitted by email to hello@cadencetraining.co.uk.
 - To avoid fraud, approved refunds will only be issued to the payment card used to pay for your booking and in GBP. Refunds will not be issued by bank transfer, to an alternative card, in cash, or by cheque.
 - All participants on any training/event operated by us, must have received and be able to present a valid confirmation they have received from us, along with a valid form of photo ID (e.g. driving license or passport), entitling the bearer 1 place on the training/event described in the confirmation.
 - Your participation in your chosen training course is subject to the terms shown here on the date shown on your confirmation email. These terms were last updated on 1st September 2025. If you would like to see older versions of these terms, please contact us with the relevant date.
 
Our Commitment To You:
- Provided that you fulfil all these terms and conditions, Cadence Training fully commits to providing the course for which you have applied, and which is detailed in our advertising at www.cadencetraining.co.uk.
 - In the unlikely event that we need to completely cancel a course due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity.
 - In these circumstance, your course/event will be refunded to you in full. Alternatively, if there is an option to reschedule your course/event we will inform you at the earliest opportunity.
 - If an individual component of a course (e.g. a class, location, or lecturer/tutor) cannot be offered, through circumstances beyond our control, we will offer an alternative component which provides the same or higher value degree of training or tuition. Should we not be able to provide an alternative, we will offer a refund which reflects the price of this component, divided by the number of students for which the component was intended to be delivered.
 
Training Courses & Events:
- Our training courses are advertised in advance of their start date, and applications are open to anyone unless restrictions apply in which case pre-requisites (i.e. existing qualifications) will be clearly advertised.
 - Following successful completion of the application process we will confirm or decline your place on the course within an agreed time frame which we will make clear to you on submission of your application.
 - At the same time, we offer you a place on a course, we will issue an invoice for payment either for the full course fee or for an initial instalment, due by a deadline/due date which we will advise at the time.
 - Your payment of this amount confirms your acceptance of our offer and guarantees you a place on the course. Your place on the course remains unconfirmed until we are in receipt of this payment.
 - All payments are subject to VAT as per HMRC guidelines and at the standard rate. This will be detailed on your invoice.
 - If your payment is not received by the deadline/due date, we will consider your offer of a place on the course to have been rejected by you. Following this we offer no guarantee that your place on the course will subsequently be offered to you.
 - Refunds are not available once you have completed payment.
 - Payments in instalments:
- your initial payment reflects your commitment to pay all remaining instalments by the deadlines advertised/advised.
 - Failure to pay an instalment may mean that your place on the course is forfeit and, in such circumstances, any instalments you have already paid are non-refundable.
 - If you do not fulfil payment deadlines for instalments, you may be disallowed from attending one or more components of the course. This may result in you not fulfilling the requirements of the qualifying body who have accredited the course and subsequently may mean you will not fulfil the qualification criteria to graduate.
 
 
Code of Conduct and Liability:
- We will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items, or personal injury incurred while participating in any course with us.
 - All persons attending our tours/events are required to behave in a respectful manner towards each other, and towards our staff.
 - If you participate in any component of the course and appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if your behaviour is deemed inappropriate at any point by our staff or your fellow students, you risk dismissal from the course. The circumstances will be documented, and you will be subject to our disciplinary procedure.
 - We are not responsible for any damage done to our suppliers, their property, or any injury incurred because of your behavior. Should you be responsible for loss, damage or injury while attending any part of our course, you are liable for any charges due.
 - For all courses accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, students are also subject to their Code of Conduct. Breaches of this code of conduct will result in our disciplinary procedure being invoked and may result in your dismissal from the course. Refunds are not available in these circumstances.
 
Health & Safety:
- By agreeing to these terms & conditions you also agree to comply with our Health & Safety Policy.
 
Weather Conditions:
- Our courses/events take place regardless of weather conditions and if you choose to cancel due to inclement weather, your booking is subject to the relevant cancellation terms detailed above.
 - The safety of our clients and staff is of highest importance to us. If, we believe that severe weather conditions compromise the safe operation of a course/event for anyone involved (i.e. clients, staff, suppliers), we will not hesitate to cancel the course/event. In these circumstances, we will contact each student as soon as a decision regarding cancellation is made, to offer a refund equivalent to the remaining portion of the course/event.
 
Attendance & Punctuality:
- All courses or course components will start at the advertised start time other than in circumstances beyond our control.
 - Please aim to arrive at the advertised meeting point for your course/event 5-10 minutes in advance of advertised start time.
 - We offer no alternative or refund for missed courses/events or parts thereof, if you arrive later than the advertised start time.
 - If you know you are going to be late, please let the Course Director know by any appropriate means: call them directly or call your tutor or a fellow student asking them to pass on a message from you, or email us (hello@cadencetraining.co.uk).
 - The Course Director or a tutor will try to contact you if you are not present at the advised meeting location/start time, using the contact details you provided in your application.
 - We take no responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from you missing any course or course component (including health & safety information) due to lateness.
 - Poor attendance may affect your ability to graduate. Details of failure as a result of low attendance are different for each course – please check with the Course Director in each case.
 
Data Protection & Photography:
- All personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
 - Photographs and video footage may be taken by us during course for promotional or editorial purposes only, for use in online or printed matter.
 - We will always ask your permission before we take any photos or video.
 - If you do not want images of you to be used by us, we respect this and will not do so if you tell us.
 - If we have used your image in marketing material and you subsequently decide that you no longer wish us to use your image in this or any other way, please let us know immediately by emailing hello@cadencetraining.co.uk. We will then remove your image as soon as possible. However, as the image(s) will have been in the public domain, we take no responsibility for copies used elsewhere or distributed by third parties without our permission.
